If you have booked with us you will have received the front door lock code from us via text, email or the AirBnB portal by the day of your arrival. Be sure to use that code first to unlock the electronic lock.
There are two locks on the door, the handle and the top Yale Electronic Lock that is the deadbolt. You only need to lock the deadbolt when you leave as we don’t provide guests with a physical key. For this reason, it is best to not lock the bottom lock unless you are in the apartment and want extra safety.
To enter the building:
- Press silver call button to call elevator. This is the lowest button of the things to the left of the door. It lights up blue when you press it, but doesn’t ring like the top Nest doorbell does.
- A blue light indicates elevator is called and in process of arrival to your floor. When blue light shuts off, the elevator has arrived at your floor level and is accessible. There is a 1-2 second delay after the light goes out and the safety latch is released.
- Now you can open the outer black door. If you have been away 20 minutes or more, the safety latch will lock the door and even though the elevator is at your floor, you still need to press the call button to ensure the system unlocks the outer door.
- Open the accordion door and enter the elevator.
- Close outer door, feel free to lock it from the inside if you are in for the night.
- Close inner bifold doors.
- Press Desired floor level and have fun!
Warning: do not open the accordion doors during operation. It will trigger a safety feature and stop the elevator. There is no way to restart without help from outside. If this should happen accidentally, you will need to call from your cell phone or the phone inside the elevator 479/391-9499. We recommend using the stairs for egress if you are physically able since they are foolproof and
To exit reverse the steps
IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP! The accordion doors must be closed for the elevator to operate and must be closed to open and close outer doors as well! outer doors as well. When you exit the elevator be sure to close the accordion doors before closing the outer hinged door.
To lock when you leave just push the door close tight and tap the Yale logo at the top.
